Sadly, I failed to accomplish them. But here's my progress.
1. And Then There Were None
by Agatha Christie
January 21
A BOOK YOU'VE BEEN MEANING TO READ
- AKA my automatic book recommendation to anyone who asks. I fell in love with Madame Agatha's way of writing. Sobrang unpredictable! Especially with this one. What's good about this book is that there's a reason why the story happened, and Madame wrote it as well. It was disturbing, but it's that kind of story that you wouldn't mind rereading over and over.
2. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
by J.K. Rowling
February 19
A BOOK YOU PREVIOUSLY ABANDONED
3. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
by J.K. Rowling
February 24
- An end of an era. Yun na yun.
4. The Five People You Meet in Heaven
by Mitch Albom
March 3
A BOOK YOU'VE ALREADY READ AT LEAST ONCE
- A good cry pero may lesson. That's what Albom books are about, and this book was not spared from that.
5. The Five People You Meet in Hell
by Rich Pablum
March 21
Hahaha. Light read after umiyak from the Albom book.
6. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
by Agatha Christie
May 9
- Yung biglang, whaaaaat! Siya yung suspect? Mabuhay ka Madame Agatha. I am praying to read more books written by you.
7. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
by Lewis Carroll
May 12
- Gusto ko yung ending, if maging writer ako ng horror/thriller ganun yung gusto kong ending. Yung sobrang emotionally invested ka, tapos poof, maiinis ka.
8. Me Before You
by Jojo Moyes
May 26
A BOOK YOU CAN FINISH IN A DAY
- This book inspired me to dream big.
9. Looking for Alaska
by John Green
June 22
- OH.MY.GOD! Sa sobrang emotionally invested ko sa story, I refused to believe yung nangyayari sa story.
10 Animal Farm
by George Orwell
June 26
A BOOK THAT WAS BANNED AT SOME POINT
11. A Walk to Remember
by Nicholas Sparks
June 26
A BOOK CHOSEN FOR YOU BY YOUR SPOUSE, PARTNER, SIBING, CHILD, OR BFF
Yung progress ng love between the characters, very realistic. Maganda yung book at equally maganda rin yung movie.
12. Eleanor and Park
by Rainbow Rowell
June 28
Masyadong tragic e.
13. Paper Towns
by John Green
July 8
- This is the story of Q and how Margo changed his life. Hahaha!
14. To All The Boys I've Loved Before
by Jenny Han
September 11
HAHAHA. Gagawan ko nalang kayo ng blog entry. Meron akong book two nito, babasahin ko sa bakasyon, in time for book 3.
15. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Part I, II
by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany, Jack Thorne
October 2
Disappointing kasi hind siya talaga book by Jo. But if you're really clamouring for more Harry Potter, ito ang book para sayo. Parang, authorized fanfic. Hahaha.
16. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
by Ransom Riggs
October 8
- Ayoko nung ending!!!
17. Psycho
by Robert Bloch
October 31
A BOOK YOU OWN BUT HAVE NEVER READ
- Napanuod ko yung movie 3 years ago, nung inorder ko yung book online. Hahaha. I tried to forget the plot, kaso wala na.
18. The Big Fat Book of Self Love
by Danah and Stacey Gutierrez
November 2
- Hihihi, sobrang goals nilang dalawa kasi sobrang body image warrior sila. Sana ganun din ako ka-confident.
19. Where Am I Now?
by Mara Wilson
December 23
A BOOK PUBLISHED THIS YEAR
- This book is like having a conversation to a long lost friend. Indeed, Mara is a story teller. Sana magsulat pa siya ng maraming books.
20. The Merchant of Venice
by William Shakespeare
December 24
A BOOK PUBLISHED BEFORE YOU WERE BORN
- Thank you, No Fear Sparknotes, for making this book available.
Yayy, ikaw, anong nabasa mo ngayong year?
