| It's a good thing that I was able to buy this book with this beautiful cover. Very simple lang, tapos sobrang wtf! |
It was definitely a: 20/10, ganyan ka exaggerated!
I really had high expectations about this book (with Madame Agatha Christie talaga, actually). I'm the book nerd that consults my environment for my "what to read" next. As I was in love with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes, being recommended with the works of Agatha Christie was a default.
Watching Doctor Who made me more curious on who Agatha Christie is. Since she was featured on an episode where Ten was the Doctor, I was really expecting to fall in love with her - and so I did.
Christie's famous for her Murder Mysteries and And Then There Were None is my current favorite (or dahil ito palang ang nababasa ko na naisulat niya or na libro for this year). Who wouldn't want a spectacular murder? Yep, not the ordinary murder. The murder in this book was on a grand-scale and was remarkably planned. The details was just, wow! I may have my guesses along the way, but boy was I wrong! It was masterfully orchestrated that until the very end my brain was confused and excited all together.
If I'll write a book, I want to write something as spectacular as this. I now know why a young "Joo Joong Won" was so traumatized at a young age after reading this (he was so traumatized that he developed dyslexia - but yeah, there were other circumstances that contributed to it, but he was reading this book!)
The story? Ay my gulay, do yourself a favor and don't ask (nor google it, wag!). If I would be making a book recommendation, this will now be my default. It was just so nerve-wracking and exciting that I must share the brilliance of Madame Christie!
So go ahead and READ this book!
