I was planning to state a reason why I was reading Fifty Shades, but thinking of a good reason can't cross my mind right now. Haha! Well I've learned this book through Saab Magalona during one sleepless summer night, saying something like Ana Steele is so like Bella Swan. Got me curious and came across with the first impression that it was a MOMMY PORN, something I would not delve. Or that was what I was thinking before.
Things just go crazy most of the time. The next thing I knew is that I am buying a box set with my brother at Fully Booked @ BGC. I never really knew what I was going myself into, all I know is that people just kept on asking me: WHY?
Reading the book, and I think because I am a huge Twilight fan, reminded me of Twilight in so many ways. Googling Fifty Shades, it was actually a fan fiction of Twilight. That explains a lot similarities like:
- Anastasia Steele finds Christian Grey - adonis. Need I say more? I think that already tells a lot about Mr. Grey. *smirk
- Well Isabella Swan finds Edward Cullen - adonis. Like the perfection and all.
- Ana's clumsy
- As well as Bella - very accident prone
- There is something about Christian that entices Ana a lot!
- Hmm.. Everything about Edward invites Bella in -his voice, his scent
- Christian's mood-swings makes Ana dizzy
- Edward's mood-swings gives Bella a whiplash
- Christian plays the piano
- Edward has this Edward Song which he played on the piano
and so the comparison will go on and on and on!
What can I say? The trilogy is all about the Christian and Ana love story, which contains a lot of ravaging and steamy fucking and lovemaking. This erotic romance story is definitely not for KIDS out there!
Yeah, here I am trying to make sense why I feel like all grown up by justifying how addicting the book is. Was blushing 7 shades of crimson while reading information I don't need to know. And now that I am on the third book, I feel like it still gives out the same effect.
Gahd! There's something about Christian that makes girls really turned on. Yeah, move over Edward Cullen, we got a new guy here! I also love how the book progress, a real page turner I must say.
A must read if you want your minds to be (no, I really don't know how your mind's is going to be).
JUST READ IT! If you survive the first book, I bet you'll be reading to book two fast!
Oh and here's Selena's epic parody FIFTY SHADES OF BLUE :)
