May 10 here in Philippines will be a mark for a change.
Or will it?
As of now, averaging 10 commercial per commercial break majority of it is MANNY VILLAR'S CAMPAIGN ADS. During a bus trip to Manaog I had a few weeks ago, I watched a sort of documentary about Nicanor Perlas, his reason for running as president. He admitted that he needs not tv ads to win, his way of campaigning is by having a motorcade on local cities.
Wow, right?
My initial reaction was that, all presidential candidates (or all who's running for national office/sector) should have TV ADS so that people could recognize them. (especially to [sorry for my term] the "never heard's" candidates). It's like, what's the use of their SUPER NICE political agenda and platform, if they wouldn't let the people informed (in such way that they wouldn't exert much effort but by just watching and listening to these commercials).
Well, that was before I got so exhausted seeing Manny Villar campaign ads. He also have this one commercial saying that most of his senatorial line-up's women. And also have a separate commercial for his senatorial line saying they're the real OPPOSITION. Manny Villar's latest ad is featuring actors Willie R., Manny P and Dolphy. And it's surely against Noynoy because they're talking about "laban ng laban wala namang napatunayan."
Well for me, I think rather than wasting money on backstabbing each other, presidential candidates should waste their time in CAMPAIGNING. I mean, what could they get from having degrading each other? Come on, months after this, I bet if all candidates are really willing for the betterment of the society, they'll be helping out each other.
On tv commercials, it is still best to have a tv commercial about one candidate. It should be short and informative. It's becoming boring and useless if it's running long and tendency is to change channels. But if Manny Villar's target is to post as many commercial as he could, then so be it. It's his money he's wasting.
Thanks to my friend Abigail for informing me about Villar's new commercial. I agree, it's a little irritating.
Oh, I almost forgot about the Lakas Kampi CMD bet Gibo Teodoro. Yeah, he's smart. But is he the only one who's running for that political party? Like I said a while ago, there's a need for tv commercial. I'm just searching for his other kapartidos. I know that Edu Manzano is his running mate for VP. But I haven't seen any poster (or I have seen one already? hmm..) nor any tv commercial. Although, I've already heard of Rey Langit's radio ad. (It's very irritating because on the last part I could still remember it echoing Rey Langit Langit Langit Rey Langit Langit. hahaha. I have no choice but to listen to it, but good thing I have my iPod on).
On the other hand, have you heard or seen or read about the political agenda's of some of the candidates? It's SUPER NICE right? All aiming for the betterment. The problem here in our country is that, candidates are presenting us SUPER NICE political agenda, but most of time, none of them are true. None of it is being made to happen.
And as far as my memory serves me right, our country is one of who has the DIRTIEST POLITICS. Name it, and the Filipinos have already done it. hahaha. (I just wished that with the AUTOMATED way of voting, there could be a great change)
To end this (since abigail's already waiting for it)
I guess every presidential candidate has their own good and SUPER NICE political agenda. To whoever would win, I just hoped that he/she(haha. jamby madrigal's the only female who's running for this position), would be reconstructing this country and changing it to for us to have a better place to live in.
There can be miracles. =)
