"Yellow ribbon can be of little thing we can offer for Tita Cory, but a little prayer can make all the difference. Farewell former president Corazon Aquino and thank you."
I might not know her personally but she's truly a person worth emulating."
Yesterday, one of my classmate Aya, brought with her almost 3 rolls of yellow ribbon and pins. When I return from the classroom after the rosary, I saw everyone pinned on their uniform, if not, tied on their wrists is a yellow ribbon. As P6 pass, next subject came; and it was Computer, Mr. Fernandez was given a yellow ribbon and a pin. As we were asked to form our line outside, Mrs. Espiritu saw everyone with yellow ribbon and from there she was also given the yellow ribbon. Since I was seating beside Aya, she pinned on my uniform too the yellow ribbon.
By this little act, I was moved. I know people who saw our line formation might think what the heck are we doing. IT MAY MEAN A LOT OF THINGS, but for me, this yellow ribbon is an expression of my gratitude for someone who's been an aide to help us gain the democracy that we are now experiencing right now.
Since it was declared a holiday today, I was given the chance to watch the Funeral Procession of Pres. Aquino.
My condolences to them.. and to this whole nation.
