Ever been through a bad break up? HAHA, me neither!
Lately, I've been trying to create this list na kahit 100x ko panuorin, I will never get tired. Or yung papanuorin ko kasi kailangan ko lang ng pangbackground while cramming for a school work. Or yung kailangan ko ng pangpaantok. Or yung kabisado ko na yung mga next scene and/or yung mga lines, but still I will never get tired of watching. Siguro sa next blog post, I might share that list.
Pero mabalik tayo kay Rico Yan. Do you still remember him? *reader answers with a resounding YES* Sabagay, who would ever forget our dear Mr. Dimples. I was a bulinggit back then when he died in 2002. Pero I can still vividly remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard the news. It was Holy Week kaya nasa Bulacan kami ng pinsan kong si Jannine. We were eating the epic halo-halo we bought near the Bisita (small chapel), tapos amidst all the traditional Holy Week special shows, biglang may breaking news about the death of Rico Yan. Also, within that week a lolo - Tiyo Totoy died.
Every now and then, everytime I see a crappy local show or a lame local artist I would think of how sayang the show or actor is. Or that Rico Yan could do it way better! Sympre, we all know that he's in a better place. His family, friends, and fans are all high praises of how great of a person he is. What a great loss!

Just last night I was watching Got 2 Believe *reader says AHHH kaya pala may pa tribute blogpost*. The last time I watched it was years ago, pero sobrang weird dahil naalala ko pa yung mga next scene. Tapos medyo nagkaroon ako ng lightbulb moment after realizing that the movie was similar to 27 Dresses. Just as I was about to call it a rip-off, apparently nauna ang Got 2 Believe. Ha! Take that Mr. Hollywood! This is actually a good thing kasi ngayon halos rip-off na ng mga foreign films ang mga local films sa atin *ehem, Begin Again and The Break Up Playlist*.

Rico Yan's last movie was nakakakilig. Nakakapanghinayang nga lang talaga. Just as when we were about to sleep, ate Joy and I were talking about Rico Yan. Actually, ako lang ang di makagetover as always. Tapos I was talking about this movie na hindi ko alam ang title, kung saan bida si Rico Yan and Judy Ann. Tapos siya din nagkkwento siya about a Calesa scene. Apparently, we were talking about the same movie - Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay. At sympre, as the bibo kids that we are, we ended up watching the movies. Ayyy kakilig the Alex-Anna love story.
Indeed, Rico Yan attacks a role differently. Madalas, he would act as the nice guy with matching nerdy look pa. At sympre, nakakainlove yung smile and dimples niya. The way he smirks, ay nako, kilig!
Sayang, he would've been 40 already. Probably, happily married with kids.
Eternal rest grant into the soul of Rico Yan o Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace, Amen.
Now pray for me as I try to study for finals. Hehehe.
