Book Collector Hormones

Oh yes there is such thing (or I guess it applies)?

For most young women my age (mind you I'm nineteen and a few 49 days away from my birthday), [hasty generalization] they would fine great joy and comfort with shopping clothes, bags, shoes. Oh don't get me wrong, I really love shopping as well. But well, because I don't really have that body type to afford shopping ANYTIME I WANT. Yeah that's a good way to say that "hey, I'm fat chubby so most clothing brand would not really have a size for me." Oh and shoes, yeahhh. I love looking at 'em. Trying them on. Then realizing after, I can't walk! So. eh. Then bags! Gahd! Let's just say for now, I don't see the need for such extravagance, my good trusty back packs are okay but I won't mind having something else either.

ANYWAY,
I actually find my happy place inside a BOOKSTORE! (and I mean that in a very non-nerdy way)
And I just realized that, although I may not have all the time in the world to read them, I still go to my good trusty bookstore (Fullybooked - yeah, that place is my heaven) to look for books. Random books.

One time, I went to this "Bookay-Ukay" store in Maginhawa St., it's somewhere near UP DILIMAN (and was said to be owned by Jay Contreras from Kamikazee). It was such an amazing experience. Great deal! A really nice store. =)

Then just recently I went to this BOOKSALE somewhere inside PALMA HALL in UP DILIMAN. And if "Bookay-Ukay" is cool, that BOOK SALE (which I forgot the name) is awesome! Books there really looked like they've been barely used and is sold for such a cheap price. Like for Php 500 I took home 3 books (which is nearly impossible to do nowadays).

I dunno, my book preference goes from Twilight to Fifty Shades to Little Women to The Alchemist to Dear John. Weird? Thanks! After a long day from law school, I almost always end up going to Powerplant (to eat) and visit Fullybooked. That may be the reason why I was thrilled that Fullybooked (Fort) made this Lucy account. She's like one of the bestest friend I ever had. Lately, she's been helping me to find odd books (err, been looking some James Joyce books) and well, lucky that she's there (friendly enough to look for me a copy). Oh and just awhile ago, I went to Fullybooked (Powerplant) and was looking for this sort of Psycho-Thriller book that a friend was talking about and this very kind salesperson just started recommending books that would satisfy my search. I really like that idea, going inside a bookstore. Having to talk to someone that can recommend me a good book.

So there!
Lately I've been buying books. (almost every week). Guess this is my coping mechanism eh? Well, if this is my way of coping with law school, then it's fine by me! So to keep up with my "book collection" I always update my list and realized that my list's piling up. Well, yeah, I like having a good number of books. But it would be better if I'll start reading them. Well I guess, I need to restrain myself from buying until I can finish everything. Though this could be a very good start for my dream-library.

I am a certified book collector. And it's weird. Deal with it.
