I was already on the place where I am having my internship when my cousin texted me
"Jas, wala na si Dete."
I thought I was just delusional because I had lack of sleep prior that night, but then she said it was true. We lost dete that fast! She just cooked her final pancit for my mama's birthday last Sunday (September 30) and was even going to cook Higadillo for us in the afternoon of that same tuesday.
She wasn't sick, just the normal comes with old age kind of sickness, unlike her sisters and lola before. She was perfectly normal and stable. Was cooking and taking care of everyone. Nobody knew that it was that Tuesday where she'll just leave us.
According to their maid, after taking a pain reliever for her head ache, dete just went on for a nap. A few minutes later, the maid noticed that dete's turning purple. The next thing that happened was that she went to see my mom and had told her to check on dete.
It was Tuesday and now it's Saturday where we said our final good byes and delivered her to her final resting place. We all went home still in doubt of how fast everything happened.
We will all miss her especially her cooking.
Thank you dete for being such a good lola and aunt to all of us, you will be remembered! Atleast now you're all together with your siblings. Guide everyone of us and we will see each other again in due time.
Ninang Melda's first death anniversary.
October 3 2011, just a year ago when my Ninang Melda passed away with cancer. I will never forget the eerie feeling I had when I saw her inside the coffin, it was purely fascinating of how it appears that she's happy. I can't also forget that few seconds of moment when she smiled at me.
Tita Imee was sick long before with cancer and was healing a few months before her death, little did we know that she'll passed away just a few days before my debut.
I was insisting that she really have to be on my party since it was my special day and that she really means a lot to me. So I was a bit devastated when I heard the news.
Thank you Ninang Melda for being a part of our family. We miss you a lot!
Just turned NINETEEN!
Would you believe it? I am on my last "teen" year! Haven't fully enjoyed my teenage year and yet it's about to end soon.
Sadly, like last year, I didn't have the chance to celebrate my birthday. LUCKY ME? IKR! :))
Well I am thankful for my wonderful nineteen years of existence. Thanks mama papa and kuya (and the rest of the ROSIT-APOSTOL family!)
Death and Birthday, weird! JUST MORE WHY? :))
But thank you Dear Lord for the nineteen years you've given me! You're the best and I love you a lot.
