TIMES STREET

To escape traffic we often take shortcuts my papa and our driver discovers.
One route I remember taking to go to Trinoma is passing by Times Street.
I have no idea that, that was the place former President Aquino used to lived.
I mean, yes it's a subdivision, but there weren't tight security within the area.
Until last August 01, 2010.
I remember that day, (it was seregoy's birthday btw!), mama and papa had awaken early, they were tuned in to a local tv station, mama wakes me up with the sad news of Pres. Cory Aquino's dead. I was terrified to hear the news, though I lack enough knowledge to say that I was really affected.
AUGUST 1, 2010 was a SATURDAY and it was the first day for the UPCAT (University of the Philippines College Admission Test). Anyway, I didn't prepare for the exam that well, and I firmly believed I wouldn't pass (even for the Baguio Campus). We took our "shortcut" and I've noticed a lot of YELLOW STUFFS on TIMES STREET. To my bewilderment, we have just passed by the Aquino's Residence.
August 1,2010 ended with me getting exhausted with UPCAT and simultaneous reports and interview regarding with the late Pres. Cory.


FAST FORWARD
Campaign for the elections started, I remember one Sunday that we went to Trinoma. We saw Sen. Aquino infront of their house, wearing slippers.

So a while ago, we went to Antipolo, we took the same route. TIMES STREET was so YELLOW. From trees to gates. Yellow Ribbon, yellow streamers showing support for LP Presidential Candidate Noynoy. And there where already barricades in the middle of the street (naiimagine niyo yung mga harang sa gilid ng sidewalk? yeah, ganun yung itsura and it's filled with yellow ribbon). I think, it's just a preparation for tomorrow's election.

Wala lang. I can just imagine how TIMES STREET would be if ever Sen. Noynoy would win. =)
